M.I.A. Bloggers Return

We are back!!! We never had time to post anything this weekend (sorry!) - we had so much fun!!! Here's a brief synopsis of our Anniversary Getaway...

Saturday: We had a very wonderful time together at the State Fair. We were there from 10 a.m. until after 8 p.m. We tried to pack it all in! It was great. Since we are licensed with the State to adopt, we got discounted admission, parking and lunch so that made it even better! We drove to our B&B and were so happy to cool down & relax. We had some Anniversary cake & watched A Night at the Museum on DVD. It was so fun!

Sunday: It was terribly hot (a bank's sign said 106). We went through 4-5 antique shops in the town square of the little town we stayed in. We then had a PB cup Blizzard at DQ and talked & talked & talked! It was refreshing! I felt especially encouraged after our time together chatting at DQ. Then we dinner at a restaurant. At the B&B, we watched The Pacifier on DVD, ate popcorn and enjoyed some hearty laughs together!

Monday: We went to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum. It was really neat. Karl really wanted to go there & neither of us were disappointed! We found a close spot at a 5 hour meter (which thankfully was close b/c we kept having to walk back to it!) We were also able to use our Student discount for our admission - which saved us $4 :) We were really tired driving home! We picked Beaker up & were so happy to see him again! Then we came home, unpacked, ate dinner & watched a LHOP before going to sleep (It was an intense one!)

We praise the Lord for bringing us together and for 7 precious years of Marriage. Each year our relationship grows so much richer. What a delight it is to be married to my very best & most trusted friend in the whole world and to share this earthly life together. I love you, Karl!

Hi Karl and Julie! Glad to hear you had such a great anniversary get-away! Sounds like you definately needed to get away from things at home - to refresh and relax. I'm so glad that you were able to do it! Have a wonderful day working on your projects!
