You haven't heard from us in quite a while!!!

We were so busy with all of the preparations, setting up and then the 2-Day Garage Sale!

Thursday My Mom & I worked really, really hard to get ready for our huge Garage Sale. We cleaned out the garage, got saw horse/plywood tables set up, brought boxes up from the basement, put stuff out on tables...it was a lot of work!!! We worked into the evening on Thursday and then the G-Sale started at 8 am on Friday. These pictures are from Saturday when a bunch of stuff was already bought. We were happy with the amount of stuff that sold. Most of our "big" stuff sold. A ton of our "small" stuff sold too. The chairs haven't sold yet but there is a lady's daughter who is supposed to come look at them today/tomorrow. It took a long time to clean up when the sale was over but it is all loaded in my station wagon and ready to be donated! Overall, we think our Garage Sale was very successful & we are so thankful!

Karl and Mom got pretty creative with their displays :)
Today I am home catching up on some things. The really exciting news today is that the plaster repair guy is here, set up his work area and is starting on the ceiling right now! Woo Hoo! Here's the "before picture" as he was bringing in his equipment. I am so excited to see all the walls & the ceiling repaired finally.

For all you animal activists, Alf is in a cage for display only! He was purchased at a different garage sale for $1.00; and the sign on his chest says, "Where's Fluffy?" Karl reminded me that Alf used to walk thru his house, looking for the kitty (which he was planning on devouring!)... kinda sick, but I did laugh and yes, we put the sign on Alf's chest... It turned a few heads, got lots of chuckles and made a few sales..... Oh, I love suggestive selling!!
PS - That garage sale was 'fun'!
