Day 24 Together In The Land Of Sunshine

Thank you so much for all of your kind emails and comments, for your encouraging words, for sharing Scripture and for your prayers. It has been very special to us as we continue to live & wait here in Colombia and as we navigate these new and challenging waters as first-time parents of three little children.

The BIG news that we have all been praying for is that the court strike is now over!!! Everyone here is SO relieved - including us! They were supposed to finalize talks today and are supposed to return to business on Monday. Our case is supposed to be presented to the Family Defender on Monday in hopes of a quick signature. After that, our case will move on to the Judge who is assigned to our case here in Cali. Our Lawyer is hoping that our Final Decree will not take long (but the Judge has up to 10 days) in consideration of all the delays. We have now been here in Colombia for 26 days and are just so thankful that the process will be moving along again, even if it is not as fast as expected. If the next couple of steps in the courts go quickly, we will be thankful. We are so thankful to know that we WILL be going home together one of these days!

Tomorrow the new family arrives to stay at our B&B. That will mean one 1 yr old, two 2 yr olds, one 3 yr old, one 5 yr old, one 8 yr old, one 11 yr old and 6 parents + staff and people who live here off & on throughout the week! We would appreciate prayer for this as we already have LOTS of screaming & temper tantrums each day and that's just with our three kids! You can only imagine what it sounds like around here!
