Today we got the lack of hot water problem solved! The miniature water heater was on a timer! With the shower operational, bathing the girls was much easier this morning. When we were hastily notified that our bath water for Andres was ready we rushed to the back room and started washing Andres down - but OOPS! - our friends had only finished bathing one of the twins! Never a dull moment over here!
Before lunch, we went to the park and the kids ran around and kicked the ball. It was more fun b/c it was not muddy this time and there were not any weird guys sitting up high in the trees either! It did get eventful when both of our girls took turns saying that they had to chi-chi (pee) and I said they would have to wait . . . but Carmenca took them over to a tree and had them wizz right there in the open. Mami/Papi objected to this idea but to no avail. Actually, Carmenca said it was good for the trees - allrighty then! :)
Before dinner, we also drove up to the mountain overlooking downtown Cali and that was a great trip. It made us woozy but we really enjoyed the sites! The kids were really loopy the rest of the night and we wondered if it was from the fast, winding roads and heights - not sure.
It has been a pretty good day together and we are thankful. Each day has plenty of ups & downs but it seems to be getting a little bit smoother as we learn how to function together as a family. Tonight was really precious as we read the children their spanish kids' Bible - the girls were extra attentive and actually started excitedly saying some of the words along with me from memory! Wow! We were so excited that they had been paying attention, were enjoying the Scriptures so much, and that the Word of God is starting to get planted in their hearts. Praise the Lord for His tender mercies and His unfailing love!

I'm glad things are getting easier for you. Funny that it's good for the tree to be peed on. I'll have to remember that. ha ha I hope you continue to have good days and I pray for your homecoming soon!
